The orphanage ‘Hogar de Niños Virgen de Fátima’ is a non-profit organization belonging to the social arm of the Catholic Church. It was founded around the year 1980. From the 1990’s the orphanage is cared by the nuns of the congregation Hermanas de la Caridad de Jesús.
Nowadays, the initiative is still entirely dynamic by working hard daily for a sustainable future to the children making part of our big family. The main goal of our institution is to bring entire protection, education and religious concepts to children in situation of abandon, orphan or violence.
MISSION:
We are an orphanage that provides acceptance, assistance, protection and education to children who have no support or who live in dangerous social environments.
VISION:
We intend to foster significant personal development for all children at the orphanage in all physical, psychological and social aspects.
The comprehensive development provided to these children is based on family values, good education and the Christian concepts of love and respect for all humans. We promote creativity, positive ambition, healthy habits and good hygiene for the children to develop better attitudes and behaviors.
CHILDREN:
The orphanage ‘Hogar de Niños Virgen de Fátima’ hosts approximately 60 children who are up to 6 years old.
Before being received at the center, these children may have suffered abandonment, violence, carelessness, sexual abuse, human trafficking or other abuses. Whenever the safety of children is threatened, we offer them fundamental protection at our center for a determined duration.
